This is a critical election and we need to get boudreau out (who has allowed all of this to happen on his watch) and elect three new, mature, reasonable people to council. Please vote!
We're stuck with LaFave, Young and Halvorson for 2 more years, continuing to present and vote for controversial issues in their own best interest. But, we have the opportunity to replace Bourdeau now. Wayne Nichols, Mike Claxton and Oliver Black are all excellent candidates wanting to bring common sense back to the council.
Bad politicians are elected by good people who don’t vote. Ballots are out now, return postage is paid. It takes about a minute to save democracy. It’s an easy assignment. If you haven’t done it, do it today!
I find it interesting that for almost a year Bourdeau and LaFave have avoided answering any questions. Apparently, that rule of law doesn't apply to them either.
Disappointing and frustrating our tax dollars are going to continue funding games these two (4) are playing. Not surprising at all from two MAGA worshippers following the MAGA ideology. Clearly they are above any laws, and being elected by a few hundred people in little Longview have made them entitled to ignore our community and what is best for the financial health of us all. Peddling local propaganda tabloids in print and online, only attending to issues important to themselves and their extreme religious viewpoints are the focus. Thank you for continuing to provide clarity by covering updates on this embarrassing case.

Why are we the constituents paying for their corruption and legal fees
The Gang of Four voted 4-3 to have the city pay their legal fees.

We're paying all the legal costs because Bourdeau, LaFave, Halverson and Young (aka "the majority") voted it for themselves.

I was going to ask the same thing. If he loses, is he responsible for his legal fees as this moves forward?
