As usual, Andre provides a thought provoking analysis of legal strategy, political realities and sometimes, a possible solution

They should be marched through the streets while someone rings a bell and chants “shame.”

I don't know about you but I plan to do my best to make sure Boudreau isn't re-elected next year. He's allowed the 3 new council members to ignore the law and has actively participated in it with them. I know he knows better. He's probably the worse mayor we've ever had.

I'd prefer all who broke the open meetings act resign. If they won't then the guy who made all the misogynistic comments should resign. If he refuses LaFave should resign because she lied about Duschas ability to do the budget and sent out an email trying to silence city workers. Both egregious acts for an elected official. Maybe with a bunch of town halls and door to door there can be enough people who know about this debacle to get a recall. It's all just so freaking avoidable had these 4 actually upheld their oath of office and not broken the publics trust.

Sounds like blackmail to me. This whole lawsuit was ill-conceived from the start. Wallin just wants to get back in office by any means possible.

You are wrong about Wallin wanting to return to office. And the suit is a legitimate response to what appears to be blatant disregard for the public's right to know what their city government is doing. They must be held accountable. What's especially lamentable is that the foursome probably could have carried out their plan openly, not in secret, as councilmember Young tried to justify in a now notorious Facebook post.
