Even as a volunteer on my kids' school's board of directors I knew about the open meetings law and the importance of any quorum being posted in advance and open to the public. There's no way these guys didn't know the law and that they can't be communicating like this without the public invited. Can they be recalled? I don't want a bunch of people who have no respect for the law representing me.

The arrogance of the city council foursome is astounding! Thank you for your excellent reporting, Andre.

Thank you for thoroughly researching this story/situation/debacle, Andre. Your in-depth reporting is a welcome and much needed service for this city that the local paper is woefully inadequate in delivering.

so grateful for your coverage on this, as how else would we ever know what is truly going on in our local council? It seems like everywhere that local governments get Maga-fied, bad things happen.

The Gang of Four will not do the right thing and follow the law, with or without community pressure. Longview and Cowlitz County will pay for their ignorance and arrogance for a generation or more.

Exhaustive research well done by Wallin and the others, as well as your thoroughly piecing it all together. I am so grateful to all. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic work! I was hoping to be there this on Thursday but family issues have kept me out of town for two weeks. This is a ridiculous state of affairs and these people should be ashamed to show their faces in our town.

One has to question Walin’s motive. His business boomed while he was on the Council. My guess is that he is motivated by vindictiveness against who replaced him.

Why else do you release information that will be presented in a court case? He is trying to defame those 4 people.

There's no need to question the motive, everyone who has business in Longview wants their business to boom. I'm no political match with Mike Walin however real estate markets are a very clear indicator of a town's health, well being, and future prospects. I'd say that if this new council foursome's presence starts impacting local real estate markets that's all the more reason they should be prevented from representing our city.
