you know a tiny piece of me is really glad that someone on this planet is able to take a 5 week vacation another part of me says "how does a elected state representative in government have the funds to spend that kind of money while we have people living in tents on the sidewalk in his district?" And how does a responsible gun owner NOT know he is carrying a gun in his carry-on? And why would we vote for him knowing he is that uncaring and that negligent? It's a real bad look in my opinion but hey what do I know....LOL tomorrow is Black Tuesday too just sayin....
Jeff was a successful businessman and so it’s no surprise he can afford an extended vacation. Yes, he should have checked his carry-on, but we’d should not jump to conclusions that he is uncaring. I have criticized his opposition to Hope Vilage, but I dont think it’s fair or accurate to describe him as uncaring as a result of this gun incident.
Laurie: I think you’re overstating the case. His explanation is plausible and the prosecution would have had a difficult time proving intent to commit a crime. And none of us knows much about the Chinese justice system.
I'm sorry Andre but I disagree. If I were traveling to Hong Kong I'd either make sure I knew the gun laws in that country OR I'd make sure that gun was locked up in a gun safe at home. It's irresponsible in my opinion.

My feeling is that we are in a real pickle worldwide with climate change etc. and as an elected official it might be better to knuckle down until things begin to "normalize" and educate your constituents about said pickle? Lead by example so to speak. But of course he has "the right" to take an extended vacation. Some of us turn the water faucet off, turn the lights off when not in use, combine chores so we don't have to drive more than necessary in an effort to limit our carbon footprint. That's where I'm coming from and yes I will keep reading and thank you for keeping us informed.
Do tell. What climate change?. History does repeat itself even with weather. Stay in reality. Many thought by 2023 we would have flying cars. Instead we have 100 different identities for kids to choose from .
