Hope Village works better than any other options so far. It concerns me that the people who speak against it at these meetings don’t have to say if they are Longview residents or not. It would be more representative to hear from Longview citizens on how they want their money spent.

This is the best news and the best outcome for our community. Hope Village is working to restore people’s dignity and connect them with services they need to succeed. It may not be perfect, but it is working here.

Thanks for the update. Looks like we have a whole lot of work to do here before the 2024 election. I personally don't have a clue how to bring in more voters but it appears that what we are doing on that front isn't working. Maybe it's time to do something different? I'm thrilled that Hope Village isn't on the chopping block for now....

How does it work?? Who has the answers to the 34 people still living in homes?? Do they have a family? Do they have a family wage job? Are they living on welfare and using section 8? Who has the answers to the details? There is not a homeless problem in Longview. There is lack of care for Mentally retarded folks that choose to live out side. I would like to know the truth. This article is just skimming across the water so to speak. You look at the numbers you think wow out of over 200 people Longview with pallet homes has saved 43. That is 22% for how much did this cost?? There is so much more to the data than what is in the article.
