Marie is hard working and consciousness. She knows the needs of our district and she understands that our future depends on an economy that supports all of us. We are lucky to have her represent us.

I couldn't agree more.

Thank you for your replies. Again, Marie represents the district very well. I will drink more coffee and pay more attention to my words and the autocorrect spelling feature. Marie works hard and is conscientious. Have a great day. Vote!!

Well said. I would add that Kent illustrates complete ignorance of basic economics and history. His pledge to actively thwart the legislative process, in itself, disqualifies him from public office.

Yes, and he is a hothead agitator. We need level headed thinking.

The choice is pretty obvious. Do we go with a rational House representative or someone who will push Trump's agenda at every opportunity? Hmmm...

I've contacted Marie numerous times in regards to Gaza and an assault weapons ban. Her stance on those issues is different from mine, but she always emails back a response. Having said that, I still voted for her. It's clear she cares about the community, and I will do whatever it takes from trying to prevent Kent taking office. Michael R's comment is spot on.

I voted for her but personally if I'd had another option I would have taken it. I disagree with the stance she takes on the Second Amendment. IMO we should be doing everything in our power to put a stop to gun violence everywhere but most of all....OUR KIDS SHOULD BE SAFE WHEN THEY GO TO SCHOOL. Nothing will convince me that it's not possible to do that. If gun owner's put more value in their ability to own a gun than they do in protecting any and all children, then their priorities are messed up. On this point I think Marie's are messed up and if I were a single issue voter I would NOT vote for her.

I subscribed here to get the news on city government not opinions. If you can't tell by her attack ads flooding the airwaves MGP has nothing positive to run on. A vote for Marie is a vote to continue the same Biden policies which have proven to be a disaster for the country, economically, and internationally. Her bipartisanship record is meaningless unless you can point to some positive effect it has had on policy or legislation. You can't. Everyone knows the party machine allows members from moderate or conservative leaning districts to vote against the party line to burnish their image back home, when the party knows they have enough votes so the dissenting votes will not affect the outcome. I attended the debate and Marie had nothing of substance to say, showed very little understanding of international diplomacy especially the Israel/Hamas issue. "if they would just give the hostages back". Wouldn't that be nice. From what she said it didn't seem like she really understood the role of congress. she kept repeating " We need to be able to fix our own stuff". The only thing Marie has worked really hard at is working toward getting re-elected and supporting the disastrous policies that the Biden administration has forced upon the country. Buckle up cuz if Kamala wins it will only get worse. If you think the economy and international relations are bad now, you "aint seen nothing yet" Lets start by "fixing" congress and elect someone to represent respect our values .

Yes, I like everything you said about MGP. She deserves another term. She has been extremely active in our district. Thanks so much for your article.
